Renovating Los Angeles Homes

The Java OSQuote was a no-brainer choice for this website http://www.renovatingla.com. The company that owns the website is actually a construction company based in the Los Angeles side of California. Its website, however, was not for its promoting its services but, rather, for promoting their selection of replacment windows and doors.

We applied the Java OSQuote on the free quote web page. Java OSQuote doesn’t make much fuss – it is actually a simple price quote system online that is composed of two parts: the web interface for users to request a price quote, and administration client for managing the products and services that are being quoted.

If you will take a look at the online quote form, you will see that there are only three items that need to be ticked off by users – the products being quoted (windows, remodeling, texcote..), the type of windows being looked for, and the style of windows. Also on that form you will see some space for personal information.

Personally, the website is one of the simplest I have worked on so far, but I love that the form does not require so much, and customers do not even have to scroll down to complete the form. (So unlike other websites.)

I’d like to put some java icing or applet on the website when it starts to pick up traffic. I don’t know if I’m right to use a Java applet before the fact or after the fact of traffic. I really don’t know for sure, but I sure would like to put a slide show applet on the products page, presenting the different types and styles of the different windows and doors sold by the website owner.

I would have loved to put the code for the slideshow on the website’s homepage, but I think that would just slow down the loading of the page.
